Hunting

Pursell Farms, located at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in central Alabama, encompasses some 3,500 acres of rolling hills, oak and pine forests, native grasses and beautiful plantation land, of which a substantial amount is being intensely managed and prepared for guided preserve hunting. Early-season dove hunts will start in September 2009, followed by guided quail hunting in November along side the finest bird dogs in the South. Knowledgeable, courteous guides will take guests on turkey hunts this coming spring, and guided deer hunts will become available in November 2011. Hamilton Place, a fully restored 1840’s plantation home, will serve as the backdrop, while providing excellent modern lodging on this historic site, and Southern-style cuisine from our top chefs will rouse guests in the mornings and welcome them home after a successful hunt.
